And we're done Chapter 7! Finally, after over a year of work, and a seemingly endless amount of issues getting in the way, this long chapter is finished! As always, if you are enjoying the comic, please consider sharing it around. With your friends, gaming groups, on social media, with other creators, or wherever you think people might like to read it. I'm really proud of it, and I'd really like more people to hear about it!

Shame there wasn't something wrong with it to raise our suspicion. If he appeared in a Hawaiian shirt and swimming trunks in the mirror, I would have asked a lot of questions...
Uh... that sounds like a great dungeon floor idea! Full of mirrors that show you distorted reflection but also image of you from another dimension or you but a different background than where you are. It could be a great excuses to show the characters wearing outfits they usually wouldn't.
Bonus if they find how to gain the clothes and gears their reflection have!
Yup, exactly like this or at least similar enough that you would believe both him and Merlin could meet on the same beach at an Hawaiian resort for wizards.
...the LIST...
...perhaps for a crack-team of elite dungeoneers for a special-mission...
...mission impossible/deadly/otherwise special...?
...so excited to see more...! :D
Intriguing! Also, I never considered it before, but when you take into account how hazardous the dungeon is and how new Colleen is to this, four expeditions *is* impressive. There are probably a lot of newbies who get killed on their first try.
4 successful dive is impressive? I... can see why. The mortality and quiting rate must be steep. And he said successful, by whatever criteria he base himself on so surviving isn't the only thing you judge a dive by. And it was done as a duo.
She made the right choice, Randulph experience with the Dungeon paid for itself since she is still going. Even if he is quite hard to get along with.
And a list? Interesting, I wonder what kind of list it is.
Next page will be the chapter titles page or are we getting a,surprise? I guess we are due for a new vote intensives too.
As some day it may happen that a victim must be found
I've got a little list — I've got a little list
Of society offenders who might well be underground
And who never would be missed — who never would be missed!
There's the pestilential nuisances who write for autographs —
All people who have flabby hands and irritating laughs —
All children who are up in dates, and floor you with 'em flat —
All persons who in shaking hands, shake hands with you like that —
And all third persons who on spoiling tête-á-têtes insist —
They'd none of 'em be missed — they'd none of 'em be missed!
Tattoo 1394? For a Dungeons that has been open for so long and has such a mortality/quiting rate, I am surprised that the number is so low! Do numbers get re-used?
I wonder what Randulph name tags err, tattoo says. What is his number, how many time has he dived in the Dungeon. Etc.
And this page kind of confirms that the Wizard Academy are closely monitoring who enter the Dungeons as much as they are monitoring who or what comes out. Who is in which team, who dies, how many dives, success, etc. Statistics can be important but I don't think this is the end goal here.
Assuming they started tattooing - and numbering the tattoos - pretty much as soon as Marblegate appeared (75 years ago), that works out to roughly 20 new delvers every year (18.587 per year). Given sequential tattoos probably started a good while later, that boosts that number up. That's low, but I don't think insanely so - there probably aren't a lot of adventurers there at a time (there's only one tavern, after all).
I wonder if it's the nice list or the naughty list. Could he be up to something sinister or is he trying to find people with the right skill set to help him solve a problem? He could be a good person who does bad things because he thinks that it's necessary. Or he could be evil and somehow working with those beings we saw observing the activities of adventurers in the dungeon. Regardless, that's a nice hook to keep the audience interested in the next chapter. Well done!
If you wanted to assemble a crack team of the best of the best from across the known world, then monitoring who does well in Marblegate would be a good way to find them. Chances are good that the kind of people you are looking for are going to end up going there at some point.
Anytime someone says "The List" and leaves it ambiguous it always feels foreboding.
I really love the wizard and his chamber.
