Apparently the six foot social distancing rule does not apply at the Peace Circle... and I bet they have more than just the corona virus too... Ba dump Tish!

I guess a four hundred year life leaves a lot of time to catch a few permanent health issues
Sturzkampf 21st Sep 2020, 6:19 PM edit delete reply
Elves are immune to all that sort of thing.

I agree. Many people are easy and superficial. It looks like human it must be the same as us humans.Same weakness, same behavior, same old same old. Many players in our RPG games lost their characters to this kind of thinking.

This is why I love chill stoner peeps. "You gotta have good friends, it's important. If not, come back, smoke some weed, and we'll be your good friends."

These elves are oddly wholesome, in their own weird way

lol they just might be

So, Sera has decided to give up being a high elf to become a wood elf? Based on how cool these guys are I think he's doing it wrong.
Rocktopus 20th Sep 2020, 9:47 PM edit delete reply
Lol yes, it's almost like he doesn't really understand the culture he's trying to force himself into... I wonder why

Rocktopus - great box to box transitions and style on this one. Back and forth conversation can be visually boring but your really put in the effort to make the layout more interesting -- just wanted to let you know we noticed.
Rocktopus 20th Sep 2020, 9:44 PM edit delete reply
Thanks! That was something I worried about when writing this chapter. It's kinda one of the reasons why the pages have been so slow these last few months; I didn't want to cut any more dialogue, but I was worried that the one-on one-conversation would be boring reading one page a week. So I put in extra effort to make each page a full illustration rather than just a set of panels with talking heads alternating back and forth. (also an occasional sexy elf or satyr certainly helps as well)

Thanks so much! I'm glad the extra effort was noticed!

Well I had written up a super long positive comment that I put a lot of thought into but I lost it due to a network error. Anyways, keep making the good comic, and don't stress too much about your art. While we do love it and it is amazing even without it the story could carry itself on the writing alone. (Not to say don't do the good art because I do like the good art, just don't stress too much about meeting your own expectations, yours are probably higher than ours.)
Rocktopus 23rd Sep 2020, 8:32 AM edit delete reply
I appreciate it nonetheless!

I want this comic to be the best that I can make it, but I also don't want it to take the rest of my life to finish :P

Love the sexy elf all around.I hope he comes back from time to time, he and sure enjoys the view.

Now... bringing Colleen here to relax might be the harder quest here...

Please don't bring Randulf. We already saw him naked enough in the story so far and I am afraid it will happen again despite all of Colleen prayers.
Rocktopus 23rd Sep 2020, 8:29 AM edit delete reply
Surprise, Randulf was a Wood Elf all along!

Yes, you'll be happier if you surround yourself with sycophants, but if you want to be high level you'll need to confront and overcome challenging people. Possibly with something sharp and pointy.
Andrew_C 21st Sep 2020, 7:54 PM edit delete reply
Well arguably sycophants count as dragging you down. And sometimes what you learn from a challenge is to walk away from it
Sturzkampf 22nd Sep 2020, 5:24 PM edit delete reply
...or in our party's case, run away from it, screaming.
Patrick-Leigh 21st Sep 2020, 7:22 PM edit delete reply
Buddy, you KNOW that you need to go back to your ACTUAL friend and ditch these losers. Maybe bring along the chick who has a maimed boob so she can get some healing. I think she's more on the level than the rest of the gang you're with, but I could be wrong. Get away from the toxic people, be with your friend, and grow as a person. That's what you need and you know it.
Darkening 23rd Sep 2020, 7:50 PM edit delete reply
Hm. I'm curious if she could actually heal an old healed injury like that. I don't think we've seen her attempt anything but reasonably fresh wounds so far and that's typically more difficult in most fiction. I'm sure she'd learn to eventually as she keeps leveling up, but I dunno if she could do it now.
Oldarmourer 23rd Sep 2020, 9:12 PM edit delete reply
Colleen 'healed' an old rusty helmet and without going back to look I think she healed an old injury too ?
I might be misremembering on that but the helmet I do and making rust eaten antiques look new implies replacing missing material.
Rocktopus 25th Sep 2020, 6:09 PM edit delete reply
In this world, magically healing living flesh is much, much more difficult and straining than repairing damaged material. Colleen can repair rusted and damaged objects, but she can't regenerate lost body parts. Her healing is more like an acceleration of the natural process of healing rather than magically creating new flesh and bones (it still leaves scars, for example, and will only knit damaged bones, not replace them). Attempting to do any more than that right now would be channeling more of her god's power than she could handle, and would very likely result in killing her.

Death by channeling too much divine power in this world is
extremely gruesome and painful, and in her religion is completely forbidden. Mortal bodies weren't designed to contain the divine powers of the gods, and so they literally "fall apart" from the inside out. That's why Colleen's hands burned and she bled from her eyes and nose the first time she tried to heal back in chapter six. As they do it more and more, however, their bodies adjust, and they can handle larger and larger amounts without hurting themselves.
John 26th Sep 2020, 1:31 AM edit delete reply
Or, in D&D terms, mending is a cantrip. Cure light wounds is a 1st level spell. Spiritual weapon (the most advanced thing we've seen Colleen do as yet) is a 2nd level spell. Regenerate is a 7th level spell.

There's at least one such person, but she's still rather annoyed with him.
Rocktopus 25th Sep 2020, 5:55 PM edit delete reply
"Annoyed" is putting it a little lightly!

The more I read your comic the more I want to DM a game in that setting ^^

Does your Patreon have things like maps and stats for Marblegate?
Rocktopus 24th Sep 2020, 5:42 PM edit delete reply
No, but maps are a great idea, actually! Maps would definitely be something I'd be interested in making for my patrons.

I'll look into it. Thanks for the idea!
Bookeater_otaku 25th Sep 2020, 11:26 AM edit delete reply
As a Patreon, I would also be interested in Character sheets of all the recurrent characters that eventually would become a 'Meet the cast' page on the main site. It doesn't have to conform to any established game Character Sheet, just a simple one you invented yourself.
Rocktopus 25th Sep 2020, 5:54 PM edit delete reply
Hmmm, not a bad idea either. A meet-the-character page with some simple generic stats. I will do some tests soon and see how it looks. Thanks!
io 26th Sep 2020, 2:03 AM edit delete reply
kind of wonder what will become of the primadonna team what with the bad karma they are racking up and failure to work as a fighting unit.
Packless1 26th Sep 2020, 3:10 PM edit delete reply
...if Colleen would suddeny appear, i wonder what she would say/think about the situation - according to her order's view on celebacy/promiscuity...! ;-)

...i hope Ozzi then have a good explanation...! :D

...something like: "'s not what it looks like...! She's my psychotherapist...!" :D
Ranasp 26th Sep 2020, 10:32 PM edit delete reply
Aww, chill elf dude is nicer than expected! He came off as a bit too hedonistic/self indulgent to really care about other people's problems, but it's nice to see that's not the case as long as the person with issues is willing to listen.
