I take it she doesn't have much experience as a warrior.

The safety protocols of that weapon are easy to follow. Swing the sharp pointy bit away from your face.

Remember, in D&D Clerics use Maces & Morning Stars because they are "less bloody & violent" & more forgiving.... or something....

Riiiiiigggghhhht.... ;P

Snapped bones and broken skulls are just God's way of saying "I forgive you".

I swear, the more I hear about D&D, the more I wanna play it... with the non-existent friends that I have :P

You could try organized play. Almost every game store that sells D&D stuff has weekly or monthly D&D sessions open to customers.

Go to the nearest game store in your area and ask if they run, D&D Adventures League, Pathfinder society, or any other kind. It's much more fun to play with people you know, but this would be a great way to meet other people and maybe get a group together.

Nothing gets a dwarf excited more than a good, sturdy practical weapon.
