So sorry for the wait again! I'm trying to get my schedule reorganized post-lockdowns. Not making excuses, though. I will get things back on track.

This is not going well. And so far the monster has only cast the equivalent of Sleep and Levitate.

i'm not sure "Levitate" breaks a stone column in half. it was sturdy enough for Colleen and all her gear, weapons and armor included. but otherwise, yes.

scary as acheron for sure, and maybe gehenna.

i blame the dwarf
Waylander 31st Mar 2021, 11:47 AM edit delete reply
It's actually really good attention to detail.. compression vs tension. Laid across the chasm, the column was under compression. Lift one end, and it becomes tension, under which soft stones like marble easily fracture. As for why I know that; I've broken a fair few pieces of marble slab by holding them inattentively.

the compression/tension idea is interesting for sure, thanks

"Plop."

Shudders.

I really find that monsters design creepy.

Besides that, beautiful page has always. Great work with the perspective again and Randulph face say it all even if we can basically only see his eyes.

The monster's design IS creepy. I wonder if it's time for Randulf to go back to not caring?

Very cool
SamNeph 29th Mar 2021, 4:21 PM edit delete reply
At least it needs her alive... for now. JUMP, Randulf, JUMP!
Bookeater_otaku 30th Mar 2021, 8:51 PM edit delete reply
You ask, the Dwarf, in plate armor, to do a saving jump like that? I don’t think a natural 20 could make succeed.
Darkening 5th Apr 2021, 1:58 PM edit delete reply
Well, in dnd at least dwarves don't get any movement reduction for heavy armor like everyone else does lol.

It is interesting to see if physics are the same in this dungeon as in the outside world. Plus let us see if the dwarf can jump for it.

Come on Colleen make your saving throw.
Bookeater_otaku 31st Mar 2021, 1:32 PM edit delete reply
And it make floors or room that don't respect physics even more fun!

My question is, shouldn't she have some pretty awesome magic resistance, given the nature of her talents?
lord humungous 4th Apr 2021, 10:06 AM edit delete reply
perhaps the monster has a pretty high resistance to magic resistance.
