This is obviously not Randulf's "first picnic".

A klopius, eh? The name doesn't ring a bell, and a web search didn't help, so it's something custom, not from D&D lore. The description evokes something intelligent but feral. Probably a creature that can practice hit-and-run tactics, something fast and agile but not necessarily very tough.
bel0919 27th Jan 2021, 4:52 PM edit delete reply
i think it's a horse.

I think Our Esteemed Author has to rename everything so it's all custom from here on out -- he did for the gas spore that blew up earlier if I remember right.
MajorDZaster 13th Feb 2021, 10:53 PM edit delete reply
Gas spores are a thing in D&D, he just modified it.
Normally, they are hostile explosive plants that resemble beholders, but he changed that to infected beholders (Beholder like creatures, anyway).

If Randulf is going first, you'll definitely need the rope tied to something more solid than Colleen.

maybe if they tied Randulf to a full beer stein he would be so concerned he wouldn't dare spill it, and be god-like cautious crossing the bridge.

Getting an extra page per month is awesome.

Everytime I see Randulf being the very experienced and competent dungeon expert, it make me appreciate his character more. I wish that my previous DM included a character like that in our campaing.

Randulf is a kind of a good teacher. He direct her toward what she need to study to improve, test her knowledge when the subject comes up, see that she get experience doing lots of various job in the dungeon and not just fighting or healing and finally show her how to be methodical and practical in dungeoning.

If only he wasn't a damaged asshole or a drunk most of the time.

And Rule number one: Always carry rope in your pack, you never know when you are going to need it.

Also rule number one: Never assume crussing a pit is safe.

Oh I forgot to mention it last page but you put some great detail in the collumn with the leaves and vines growing out of it.

Also, I wonder if they are structurally safe to use as an anchor point. I wouldn't put it above the floor master to purposely weaken some of those pillars has a trap.
Doomroar 28th Jan 2021, 12:19 AM edit delete reply
Those pillars look really weak tho.

Rope tricks? Is this a rodeo?

"This is not my first rodeo!"

Some days I wish this was a novel and the art was supplementary for the cool scenes. Ahhh I need more plot

While I am always in for a good novel I don't see how this would improve the story. Sure with text the story would progress faster and we probably get more insight and lore on many details of the world but this work here is of a really high quality. Each chapters, pages and talk gives us more to discover.

Would I like to have more? Of course! But the author only has so much time to give to the project. Subscribe to his Patreon, he started making role playing character sheets for the main characters as an extra and will maybe make others for secondary and background characters we see in the comic. I am sure he would be happy to hear suggestions on what you think people would like to get if you subscribe.

Hopefully the rope holds.

As a player wuth some VERY good DMs, I learned to me more wary of the pillar.
Packless1 29th Jan 2021, 4:54 PM edit delete reply
...the rope might not be the problem...'s the pillars that look quite brittle to me...!
Marcia 30th Jan 2021, 4:07 PM edit delete reply
Uh, I dunno about this, folks...this has a far-away yet fast-approaching whiff of Absolute Utter Bollocks coming right at the protagonists...
