ha! i dig how the sheet of paper the "secretary" is writing on grows incrementally longer.

also, when she says "shortly" i assume the arch wizard is a dwarf.

probably related to Randulf.

and currently passed-out drunk.

"Shortly", as in "I have no idea how long it will take. Stop asking me." :P

mmmm ... nope. don't think so.

it's a dwarf.
MajorDZaster 16th Nov 2019, 9:32 PM edit delete reply
Nah, Rocktopus is right. She only just organised it and she hasn't appeared to contact the archmage, so who knows how long it will take before he leaves his office.

@Sheela -- arch mages are sneaky, and high-profile, like the Pope. and since i don't see a bullet-proof box down on the floor around the too-obvious dude with the conical hat and beard (is that supposed to fool us?) i'm guessing the dwarf on that page is actually the archmage.

plus, i strongly suspect there is more than one Archmage. you can't build a cathedral with just one Arch, therefore there's probably several more of them holding up the magic system in this world.

@MajorDZaster -- how can you possibly take the author's word for it here? ;-)

In unrelated news, I was perusing the gallery, and noticed the concept art of the barbarians. And I thought, wow, that female has bare legs, and then I thought, wow, that female has a bear leg.

I believe it was supposed to be a boot. I drew it way back in 2015. I've since redesigned her.

When I was little my mom told me she would be back in a minute. I asked her if it was a real minute or a mommy minute. (or a long time)

Ms Colleen can fill in the time while she waits by reading the wizard's private correspondence, helpfully on display on the back of the desk.

Even in a fantasy world you can't escape from bureaucracy.

I’m curious, what is the arch wizard Aldos like?
MajorDZaster 16th Nov 2019, 9:35 PM edit delete reply
You're in luck! We're going to find out...

A bit like this:

Obviously three gnomes in a large robe and a bad hat.
MajorDZaster 17th Nov 2019, 9:44 PM edit delete reply
Or 2 halflings.
Okay, I'm going to call gnomes 'thirdlings' from now on.
Sheela 18th Nov 2019, 7:06 AM edit delete reply
Hah, thirdlings … I like it.
Sethos 21st Nov 2019, 10:28 PM edit delete reply
Wait... what would you call a child born to a halfling and a human? is that a half-halfling, like Quarterling? or do you just split the difference and call them a Three-Quarterling?... I need more Pot to figure this out. *Puff Puff Puff* What were we talking about?
