Poor Colleen, so innocent even after all she's seen. It's one of her most endearing qualities, I think. :)
Rocktopus 1st Nov 2019, 5:42 PM edit delete reply
20 years of a sheltered catholic-esque farm upbringing, and half a year of living with priests and nuns...

It'll take more than a few skeletons to reprogram that worldview :)

The blush hides some of her freckles ;)

Will there be dragons in the future
Rocktopus 1st Nov 2019, 10:01 PM edit delete reply
There are dragons in this world, however they are generally quite bizarre-looking compared to your traditional fantasy dragon.

As for whether or not there will be one in the comic... no spoilers!

Geez Colleen, he's just having faun!

I am disappoint Colleen, you need to be better prepared with a right hook in the future, or better yet a good kick.

Also: Goat-boy knew.
Bookeater_otaku 1st Nov 2019, 6:41 PM edit delete reply
He definitely knew.

Beautiful page once again. Blushing Colleen is cute, she will make people interested in flirting with her once she interact with a bigger cast. At least I hope they will.

New terms: Forest mage. My guess is that they often sports green colors as camouflage? Can you give us more information about forest Mages please?
Rocktopus 1st Nov 2019, 9:55 PM edit delete reply
Deeplore time!

"Forest Mage" is a general term for graduates from the Arclight Mage's college (a massive magic college that also serves as a sort of UN in this world. Seen here) who work in the Feynest forest. Generally they're not natives to the region, but they wear green hooded robes to signal to the eccentric Feyfolk that these mages are well-versed in the Feyfolk's bizarre etiquette and courtesies.

Not all kisses are harassment. I just think he likes teasing mages and priests.
Guest 3rd Nov 2019, 7:24 AM edit delete reply
You don't do that kind of stuff suddenly to complete strangers in such a context, that is indeed harassment, for multiple different reasons. Especially when it is a man both initiating and forcing the kiss. Of course, fauns are (insert puns here... :-) ), but that makes sense among their own, and care should be taken when among others or in a common setting. Not that fey would necessarily care about such things.

Well put, and agreed.

Hey, about the picture in we get after we vote for you: wouldn't the sword fall down from the scabbard if the shield is tipped the wrong way? I mean if you are not fighting and moving around, when the arm come into a rest position, the sword handle would point towards the ground. I guess there could be a locking mecanism but how fiable it is? But beside that very nice knight concept. Feel realistic.
Rocktopus 2nd Nov 2019, 5:54 AM edit delete reply
Thanks! And yes, the sword clicks into place.
That Dave Guy 8th Nov 2019, 12:09 AM edit delete reply
Back in my boffer days, a few players had scabbards built into their shields just like that- usually they were phalanx style fighters with a spear and shield who kept a sidearm in there for close fighting. One guy also kept throwing daggers in pockets in his shield for surprise ranged attacks. I miss being young and limber, those were good times =P

Of course the fey creature walks off the panel.

They aren't really constrained by silly things like the 4th wall.

I love your perspective shots.
Rocktopus 3rd Nov 2019, 3:01 PM edit delete reply
Thanks! They're challenging to draw but worth it in the end

Hey,do you have a self-made map of the town where you take note on what is where and what colors each building have to avoid inconsistencies in the story?
Rocktopus 4th Nov 2019, 8:34 PM edit delete reply
I generally use Page 1-2 as a reference for the town, but I have a few sketches and maps in my sketchbooks that I use as well to make sure the town stays consistent

It seems like you have a pretty good collection of lore powering this comic. Do you have plans for releasing an adventure/campaign guide book?
Rocktopus 4th Nov 2019, 8:37 PM edit delete reply

The problem is time, unfortunately! I will absolutely be creating books, videos, and RPG supplements for Marblegate one day when I'm making enough from this comic that I can afford to focus on it full-time!
Sen 7th Nov 2019, 8:18 AM edit delete reply
Good to know. I already pondered how to adapt this comic into Pathfinder.

So if you release supplements I'd be sure to buy it :)
Merodda 7th Nov 2019, 5:09 PM edit delete reply
Thinking about it, that kiss might actually have been 'payment' for delivering the letter.

Fey sometimes have a weird way of bestowing blessings or enchantments.
Guest 7th Nov 2019, 5:38 PM edit delete reply
He might well try to pass it off as being that, with the truth just him being head-external-boney. Though with fey, who knows? It might well be both, with any enchantment being perfectly able to be bestowed a different way.

Colleen now has a +10 bonus on all her saving throws against hangovers during the next 24 hours. Too bad she doesn't know about it, and wouldn't take advantage of it even if she knew.
io 8th Nov 2019, 5:04 AM edit delete reply
reminds me of a moment in a d&d comics were a human fighter defeats an orc leader by kissing him
