To quote Hellboy:

"Oh crap."

I love that Colleen is so free with her gift, but this has trouble written all over it, unfortunately.

Aww, she is so sweet and innocent. I have a feeling this is going to escalate quickly.

Nothing fixes a little naivete quite like a few traumatic encounters with horrible dungeon monsters!

She made friends with an alcoholic though, so it's balances out.

Interesting. Colleen's healing powers are seen as miraculous. This tells me that healers are exceptionally rare, if not unheard of, in your world.
Also. Coins! I want some coins like the ones in that box! Shamrock coins!

It makes sense in a setting where (seemingly) a god has to hand pick the people who get divine magic.

I play Pathfinder, and in that setting if you want to be a divine spellcaster, you follow a god and you get spells. No direct, deific intervention required. As a result, divine casters are commonplace.

It depends on the time and the place. Clerics are more common in some regions, and during certain eras and events.

On the Green Isles, they are pretty rare. In Sword Court (the kingdom of knights and chivalry that Marblegate is technically on) they are somewhat less rare.

I won't get much into it in this comic specifically, but there is also an ongoing crusade in the far south, and a Crusader State there where clerics are more common.

Wizards and arcane casters are a pretty rare sight, too. With the exception of the town of Marblegate, and the politically-neutral Mage's college, named "Arclight", that owns the town.

You hint a a much larger world beyond this one, beyond just Marblegate. This is quite tantalizing to me.
Will there be other comics about different dungeons starring different protagonist besides Colleen etc?
It also fills me with jealously that you have created such a large and fascinating world. Darn you for being a creative genius!

Are there more 'caster' that can be found elsewhere than the arcane colege? Do they have some competition in gathering magic user? I can't imagine that in such a vast world, there is no other place that teach magic. Other cultures on far away shores probably have their own ideas or systems but there must be something.

I mean are there place "middle-east" with Sultana like kingdom or something more eastern that we would associate with Japan or China?

But to come back to other type of caster's, like edge witch, druids, shaman and alchemist. Are they more common and can they be found in the Green islands?

Now...wait for the local priests to realize that the 'donations' she's taking are coming out of their collection plates...
and the local barber/surgeon guild to get involved...

That's going to get the attention of some powerful people. Both in the church and the nobility. There might be a tug of war with Colleen in the middle.

But her idea had merits but only if she had a patreon that would protect her from those who would see her stop or kept her from themselves.

I wonder if the friar (btw whats his name?) has he told his Bishop about Colleen?

Also, you can have coins minted with your design. If they were made of .999 fine silver or copper I would buy a couple.

Compassion, self- sacrifice, altruism. These are virtues that can change the lives of those whom they touch. They can take much from those who have them. Those who do so anyway are a light to their world.

Well, it is also important to be responsible in how their gifts are used and with whom. Healing the kind of murderer that despite having good done to them then goes on to murdering some innocents, can be evil.

It reminds me of some of the stories of doctors that are forced to help a sick or wounded crime gang boss. The stories vary in how they go, in some, the boss ends up dying, and in revenge his fellows kill the doctor. Sometimes because the doctor genuinely failed in some way or another, in others because the doctor messed up intentionally (and in some cases the story then goes on to tell about how the doctor lost a family member to the crime gang or similar).

That said, there is uncertainty in any act. Making it easier to be able to have faith in others helps a lot. Reversely, being deceived about others can hurt or damage things overall (very) much. And things can be much more complex than this of course.

Also, it is important to take good care of oneself and look out for one self as well, since if you do not take good care of yourself, it becomes difficult to look out for others. It should preferably be good for both you and others.
