Green and sparkly. What kind of pretty is just sitting on an altar-like table in the middle of a fungus infested wasteland in a room reminiscent of a chapel?

Let us carefully find out!

probably a coupon for a discount on her next trip to the dungeon.

Dungeon crawl really just is glorified grave robbing half the time

"It is not theft if the people you are stealing from are dead. It would be looting." "But we are not dead!" He heft his great sword. "I am just getting to that part now" he said.

I think you're thinking of Dungeon Meshi, not Marblegate, my friend :P
Commander Dulton 12th Dec 2018, 5:12 AM edit delete reply
To be fair. I can see the various odd beasts and monster corpses would hold some value to those of a more culinary persuasion. If nothing else I'm sure a wizard wants to know how a beholder ticks.

If the dungeon wanted to be a dick. That gem was free for the taking. No catches, no tricks, no traps.

Play ol' Randalf's "Rule #1" play against themselves. Let them think that the gem is cursed or something.

They'll be hesitated about taking an unguarded treasure. Similar to the best way of hiding something is to leave it in plain sight.

(sorry if I'm not making much sense or it could've been worded better. Running close to 34 hours without sleep)

No trap in a world of traps IS the trap
Lurker 12th Dec 2018, 4:53 PM edit delete reply
Reminds of what I read somewhere (could have been here), that once a GM had the players go through a gruelling dungeon filled with all sorts of evil unexpected traps, and then suddenly there was this one room that had nothing except an unlocked chest with treasure inside. The players ended up spending hours tapping every brick, overturning every stone, casting every possible trap identification / unlocking spell, to find a trap that wasn't there. :-D And probably spent an ungodly number of identify scrolls/spells on every item and every piece of dirt they found in the chest, Just In Case.

The hallmark of an evil GM. :-D

good question!

I'm reading a Light Novel called "The Lazy Dungeon Master" that goes into detail about what dungeons get for having adventurers traipse about the place all the time.

Basically, the answer is they get fabulous prizes for making what amounts to the worlds deadliest theme parks.

is that symbol on the wall masonic?
Rocktopus 11th Dec 2018, 8:06 AM edit delete reply
Rocktopus
In the world of Marblegate, the symbol of a triangle within a circle is called the "trioxidus". It's an arcane magic symbol used in spell composition.
The trioxidus is the most widely used symbol in all of arcane magic, and is used in over 1/3 of all spells. It's become sort of an iconic symbol in the arcane magic community, and is used in art and architecture to represent the Arcana

I was wondering , will we get to see uncensored nudity like you showed uncensored gore ?

every single mushroom we've seen so far has been completely naked.

i don't think that gas spore was wearing any clothes either. "LIVE NUDE GAS SPORES. bring your dwarves, wednesdays are half-off dwarves night."

Probably not, no. I'm not saying I'll never consider it, but right now I have no plans to have uncensored nudity in the comic.

Though there will likely be partial nudity (as there already has been)

No mushroom on the single path to the prize but plenty of them + skeleton beside it. Not suspicious at all.

So... Altar, coffin or Starbuck counter?

The Holy Grail...?
The Amber-Room...?
A really longlasting smartphone-battery...?

The original Coke©-Recipie...?
Excalibur...?
The answer of all questions about god, the universe and all the rest...?

Cliffhanger...! ;-)
Can't wait for the next episode....! ;-)

I was looking through the site and I recall once seeing a page of different sketches of the cast/main characters. or maybe I was dreaming. Was there such a page and, if so, what happened to it?

It's here:

I just took the link off the navigation bar since the page was all old art and the navigation par was already cluttered.
